Epoxy floors for Hill Country shops, barns and garages.

About Dripping Springs Epoxy

Out here a slab is not just a garage floor. It might be the floor of your shop, your barndominium living room, or a covered patio where the family eats half the year.

We grind and test every slab before we coat it, because a lot of slabs in new steel buildings were poured fast and never sealed. Getting that right is the difference between a floor that lasts and one that peels in a year.

Floors we put down in Dripping Springs

Finished dark flake garage floor

Epoxy Flake Floors

Shop and garage floors that take tractors, tools and spilled fluids. The flake texture hides caliche dust tracked in from the drive.

Gray metallic epoxy floor in a shop

Metallic Epoxy

A high-gloss, one-of-a-kind floor for tasting rooms, studios and finished shops that double as entertaining space.

Brown acid-stained concrete in an open living area

Concrete Staining

Acid and water-based stain is the classic barndominium floor. The color goes into the concrete, so it will not chip or peel like paint.

Stamped concrete with a flagstone pattern

Stamped Concrete

Patios and walkways with a flagstone look that fits limestone homes, without the weeds and shifting you get with loose pavers.

Why slabs out here need extra prep

A lot of Dripping Springs builds are on acreage, with steel shops and barndominiums poured on site. Those slabs often have curing compound, sealer or rough trowel marks that a coating will not stick to unless it is ground off first.

We also check moisture before we coat. Slabs on rural lots without a good vapor barrier can push moisture up from below, and we add a moisture-blocking primer when the test calls for it.

Common questions

Can you coat a brand-new barndominium slab?

Yes, once it has cured. New concrete needs roughly 28 days before coating. We will test it and tell you if it is ready.

Stain or epoxy for a barndo living area?

Stain gives a natural, mottled look that ages well. Metallic epoxy gives a glossy, modern look. We bring samples of both so you can see them on your slab.

Do you travel to rural properties?

We cover Dripping Springs and the surrounding ranch roads. If you are not sure you are in range, call and ask.

How long until I can use my shop floor?

Most coating jobs take one to three days to install. You can walk on it sooner than you can drive on it, and we give you exact times for your system.
